A very unique and trendy way of eating brunch in Copenhagen is by “mixing you own”. It’s like having tapas for breakfast and the first place to do have this on the menu was Wulff & Konstali.  It’s a great way to try new things and eat more vegetables and fruits, which I love more than the classic bacon and egg-version. Some brunches are very good, some are more standard but still quite photogenic. That’s why it can be hard to know whether it’s okay or really good

I prefer a brunch that is fresh, creative, homemade (or with a homemade twist) and sustainable.

Here are my 10 favorites when it comes to brunch in Copenhagen:

Djuus Copenhagen
Blegdamsvej 78
2100 København Ø

A hidden gem with the most passionate owner; Rikki. Almost everything is homemade here and always made with love and a green touch. Try the raw cakes, the salads and the cold pressed juices (Djuus = juice). ( Picture at the top of this post.)

Vegan brunch at Souls, Østerbro, Copenhagen. Coconut latte, cashew youghurt, avocado smash, pancakes with chocolate and peanut butter

Souls
Melchiors Plads 3
2100 København

Stack of pancakes with raw chocolate and peanutbutter. Do I need to say more? This is my local love and I can never get enough of this place. It’s vegan btw. And you also have to try their coconut latte, salads, BBQ mushrooms and burger!

Breakfast at Social, Nørrebro, København. Zucchini bread, avocado, chia pudding with mango, pesto, coffee.

Social
Peblinge Dossering 4, kld, th
2200 København

A small but perfect brunch plate with the most delicious zucchini bread, eggs, cheese and exotic chia pudding. Very good price and amazing coffee! Oh, and location. (Dronning Louises Bro and the lakes)
Restaurant BioM weekendbrunch med alverdens farver, brød, kager, kål og æg Restaurant Biom
Fredericiagade 78
1310 København

Definitely top 3 when it comes to original brunches in Copenhagen. This places is very hidden and “secret”. Everything is organic and the standard is extremely high.

Sidecar brunch på Skyttegade, Nørrebro. Weekendbrunch

Sidecar
Skyttegade 5
2200 København

This is a very local and quite amazing darling! Their brunch buffet is outstanding because you can choose between few but very delicious things and then you also get table serving – yes, they bring the hot dishes like eggs, pancakes etc. to the table. As a bonus Sidecar just launched a new vegan brunch which should be amazing. Will try it out asap!

Morgenmad på Baryl

Baryl
Griffenfeldsgade 24B
2200 København

New, healthy, geen and delicious breakfast and brunch with value for money. The brunch plate includes an avocado toast with hummus and poached egg, sourdough bread with salmon, chia porridge or skyr and fruit for only 80 DKK.

brunch på Neighbourhood, Vesterbro, KøbenhavnNeighbourhood
Istedgade 27
1650 København V

My favorite pizza restaurant in Copenhagen. But their brunch is great too! They have a breakfast pizza (yes I know. So good!) and a lot of colorful temptations,  that make you happy and not too full.

Hope brunch i København. Vegansk mad med søde kartofler, hummus, avokado og hjemmelavet brød og kaffe

Hope Bar
Larsbjørnsstræde 7
1454 København

Sweet potato fries. YES! That’s probably the best thing I can have for brunch. And Hope knows it! Add hummus, avocado, homemade bread and a mini smoothie bowl, and you’re on fire. Size is smaller like at Baryl and Social but also cheaper.

Brunch hos Møller Kaffe og Køkken. Grape og æg. Brunch på Nørrebro

Møller Kaffe & Køkken
Nørrebrogade 160
2200 København

Such a popular place where you can wait for a seat for hours (or what at least feels like hours). However the food is not “just” another brunch. It’s made of great local products and the servings are creative but also more expensive.

Bland selv brunch. Juice, æg, avokado, kage, laks, brød. Mad Og Kaffe i København

Mad & Kaffe
Tyrolsgade 6
2300 København

Sønder Boulevard 68
1720 København

This place is getting almost too popular nowadays and it’s often difficult to get a table. At least at Vesterbro, so go to the one at Amager instead. Fair prices and great food without being rarely seen innovative. Like the avocado with chili oil and almonds.

Tusind tak Maria. Og ja, burde man ikke næsten tage på brunch-crawl? Jeg forstår personligt ikke, hvorfor det koncept ikke findes;)
